Usually the frame number will be something with a 'T' at the end ex: VSX1T for a P200E. It's a good time to buy and you can probably find one for under two grand that will need less work to start out and be less of a headache in the long run than an early Bajaj. Which serial number do you want to search by Frame Number. ![]() You pretty much have to strip everything down and reassemble the whole thing or at least make serious adjustments.Įchoing prior comments, you should find yourself a solid but faded VBA, VNB, or '60s Allstate. Most sellers of these bikes don't really know scooters so what you generally get is all of the parts to build a Bajaj Vespa, that just happen to be bolted together in the form of a scooter. I have seen a lot of these bikes from various suppliers first hand and the ASC guys seem to really try to set them up right before they are sold. As mentioned previously, they were never imported officially, so most of the examples available are the "restorations" that have been more recently imported. ![]() It's just that there are not that many trustworthy and solid suppliers stateside for early Indian Vespas. ![]()
